Here are some blog entries that I have found inspiring this past week:
- I have been finding the whole Desiderata Project inspiring. This week, I was particularly inspired by Dr. Ragan from Psychology of Clutter, who posted Setting Boundaries With Others on this quote from Desiderata: “Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.” She offers great advice to those of us who want to be compassionate and tolerant but still need to set boundaries for our own health and to teach aggressive persons “that this behavior is not effective with everyone…”
- Peter at Iwillchangyourlife.com wrote a post at Pick the Brain that summarizes a lot of the topics I have been covering in the series on motivation. His article The Magic of Starting Small talks about focusing on small tasks that can lead to large changes, and staying in the present day.
- Jean at cheerfulmonk.com wrote a moving post where she talks about animals as roll models and other aspects of Love, Compassion and a Lot of Humility.
- Chief Happiness Officer, Alexander Kjerulf demonstrates the principle that we can all be happy no matter what we do for a living: Here’s What Happiness at Work Looks Like.

Glad you enjoyed the article. Also, nice site! 🙂
Hi, Danny,
My post tomorrow morning (October 13) will be about Alex Shalman’s Caring Compassion Charity project. I’ve been tagged by Alex and I’ve tagged you, among others. If you’re not interested just ignore it, or, if you’d like, I’ll take you off the list.
If you are interested just write about a charity/cause you’re passionate about and what you’re doing/plan to do for it. Then link back to me and Alex. More details are at http://www.alexshalman.com/blog/2007/10/11/caring-compassion-charity/
Either way, thank you for your time.
Jean Browman
Oops! It’s October 15, not 13.
